How to: Get a Cocoa Glow

Our newest Lookbook, Good F*ckin Vibes, has dropped and we are seriously vibing off model, Abby Brother's striking tan. We are going to let you in on a dirty secret - LA girls aren't all natural Cocoa Goddesses. The majority of us have a great spray tanner we are fiercely loyal to because this generation is too smart to oil up and bake in the sun!

For that nice golden summer glow, we go organic with Chocolate Sun. The primary ingredients in Chocolate Sun's products are natural botanicals and sugars derived from beets and sugar cane, which caramelize on the skin's surface to create a golden glow with no streaky orange fading or chemical after smell. This PB intern bared it all (most of it) to show what to expect from your first spray tan.

The Before
You want to wear dark loose fitting clothing to your spray tan. Chocolate Sun has a bronzer in their solution, so you will see results right after your session as the real tan develops. No shower or water based activities for the next 6 to 8 hours, this will wash away the developing tan.

Wear dark underwear or a swim suit for the tanning process. Before you are sprayed, you will wipe down with a damp cloth that has a special formula to balance the PH of your skin, making it friendlier for the spray tan to stick onto.

Kimmi, the owner, works fast (she's just a blur of hard work below). The session takes around 15 minutes and as you can see the bronzer shows up immediately.

The After: Bronzed skin and a glowing smile!

Your tan should last one to two weeks. To prolong your glow, moisturize often and shave or exfoliate as little as possible. I boost my tan by using Chocolate Sun's Cocoa Glow sunless tanning cream in between sessions, which can be purchased at all locations and online.
